Book-selling giant Barnes & Noble, Inc. booksellers is considering buying its somewhat smaller rival, book-selling giant Borders Group, per the Wall Street Journal (sub. req), which also commented on the same rumour in November in its Deal Journal. Borders indicated in March that it was struggling and might be willing to be sold. The WSJ article notes that the sale, which would give the resulting company about 1/3 of the market share, would likely face anti-trust hurdles.
