New Readers Advisory Blog

Becky Spratford, co-author of Horror Readers’ Advisory: The Librarian’s Guide to Vampires, Killer Tomatoes, and Haunted Houses (2004), has a new blog called ‘RA for All.’ She defines RA as “a patron oriented, nonjudgmental public library service that strives to help fiction and nonfiction readers find books to read for enjoyment” and promises that her blog will “highlight how the library can best help its patrons.” Posts so far include articles on the recent AP poll of American reading habits and the idea of the virtual public library, as well as a short list of readalikes for Jennifer Weiner’s books and comments on Nancy Pearl’s ‘books under the radar’ feature on NPR.
